The physicians at Southeastern Neurosurgical and Spine Institute have
a long-term professional commitment to state of the art technologies.
Stereotactic Radiosurgery
Stereotactic radiosurgery is designed to deliver a concentrated dose of
radiation to a diseased region of the brain identified by specialized
imaging techniques without adversely affecting the surrounding tissue.
Stereotactic radiosurgery is a non-invasive procedure that can treat both
benign and malignant brain conditions. The interdisciplinary radiosurgery
team includes neurosurgery specialists, radiation oncologists, radiologists,
medical physicists, dosimetrists and other medical professionals.
Stereotactic Surgical Capabilities
The use of advanced Stealth® technology provides three-dimensional
brain and spine images allowing our specialists to perform minimally invasive
procedures safely and accurately at all of our regional hospital systems.
Skull Base Surgery
Complex skull base surgery is performed microscopically for treatment
of high risk tumors and vascular lesions residing at the base of the brain.
Cerebral aneurysms, acoustic neuromas, craniopharyngiomas, pituitary tumors,
and meningiomas are treated by our fellowship-trained neurosurgeons with
extensive skull base experience.
Kyphoplasty
Kyphoplasty is a minimally invasive surgical procedure to repair fractures
associated with osteoporosis, resulting in significant pain relief and
improved mobility in a rapid fashion, particularly in the elderly.
